Port Isaac Shanty Weekend 2026 Dates Announced

The 2024 Port Isaac Shanty Festival

The Port Isaac Shanty Weekend will take place on Saturday & Sunday October 3rd & 4th 2026.

After a year off in 2025, we are all really excited for the return of this wonderful event in 2026 when shanty singing groups and musicians from far and wide will once again travel to Port Isaac and fill our little village by the sea with song!

In previous years Port Isaac’s celebration of shanty music has been a weekend festival with a main stage, tents and food trucks on the village playing field overlooking the sea, with performances at numerous other smaller venues throughout the village. Costs have increased dramatically however and to run the festival as it was in 2024 would now cost over £27,000, so Dee, Sharon, Liz, Cheryl and Clare have decided to scale back for 2026 and present a Shanty Weekend based at the Village Hall and seven venues around the village.

There will be performances taking place on Saturday from 1pm - 11pm and on Sunday from 1pm - 6pm. As always it will be a totally free event.

This will no doubt be one of the highlights in Port Isaac’s calendar, and a weekend not to be missed. Accommodation inevitably books up quickly so if you’re interested in attending then please don’t delay!
